Illuminate Chipping Norton includes a concert in St Mary’s Church, projections on the Town Hall, and an exhibition of photography by students from Chipping Norton School.

Our aim is to deliver a programme of events which people can enjoy, in an environment comfortable to them. Whilst we’d planned more illuminations and festive activities around the town, we have always been aware of new restrictions and must respect the safety of our community.

Faces in Windows

For this exciting project, A-level art students from Chipping Norton School have partnered with local photographer Andrew Ogilvy to photograph local residents, working to the brief ‘Our Town’.

These unique photographs will be displayed in the empty shop windows of Chippy’s High Street, and are openly accessible throughout December and January. Have a walk past the shop windows in your own safe space, and see some of the local faces that make Chipping Norton what it is.

Town Hall Light Projections

We hope to be able to bring projections to the town centre in late January – using the images produced by the young people from the ‘Faces in Windows’ project. More information to follow!
